Terms of Service
1. Who We Are
Aetherforge LLC ("Aetherforge," "we," "us") operates aetherforgeco.com (the "Site"), through which we sell 3D-printed hardware and accept custom fabrication requests. By placing an order, submitting a design, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
2. Products, Pricing & Estimates
- Items marked IN STOCK are sold at the listed price at time of order.
- Items marked CONCEPT or shown with an "EST." price are not yet in production. Listed prices are estimates only, are not final, and may change before an item ships or becomes orderable.
- 3D-printed parts can vary slightly in dimension, color, and surface finish between units and between batches. Photos are representative, not exact.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing or listing errors, limit order quantities, and refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including after payment has been accepted (in which case you'll be refunded in full).
3. Custom Work & Quote Requests
- Submitting a design, a "Request a Quote," or a custom-order inquiry does not create a binding order. A quote becomes binding only once we confirm pricing, lead time, and you complete payment.
- Lead times we provide are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by material availability, print-farm capacity, or design revisions.
- We may decline to produce any submitted design, including for reasons of manufacturability, capacity, intellectual-property concerns, or if the design depicts or is intended to create a weapon component, restricted item, or anything illegal to manufacture, sell, or ship in your jurisdiction.
4. Designs You Submit To Us
If you create an account or otherwise submit a design, model file, sketch, or specification for us to produce ("Your Design"):
- You retain ownership of Your Design.
- You grant Aetherforge a license to store, reproduce, and modify Your Design solely to evaluate, quote, and manufacture the item you've requested, and to keep a copy on file for reorders unless you ask us to delete it.
- You confirm you own the rights to Your Design or otherwise have permission to submit it, and that producing it won't infringe anyone else's intellectual property rights.
- We will not sell Your Design to third parties or use it to manufacture items for anyone else without your permission.
5. Orders, Payment & Shipping
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
- All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise.
- Risk of loss and title for items pass to you upon our delivery to the shipping carrier. We're not responsible for carrier delays, but we'll help you file a claim for items lost or damaged in transit.
6. Returns & Refunds
[Replace with your actual policy — placeholder below is a common small-business default:]
- Stock items may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unused and in original condition, for a refund of the item price (shipping costs are non-refundable).
- Items that arrive defective or damaged will be replaced or refunded at no cost to you — contact us with photos within 7 days of delivery.
- Custom or made-to-order items are generally non-refundable once production has started, except for manufacturing defects.
7. Tools & Hardware Items
Some products we sell (e.g. folding knives, bit drivers, other tools) have blades or functional hardware. By purchasing, you confirm you are legally permitted to own and use the item in your jurisdiction, and you assume responsibility for using it safely and legally. We are not responsible for misuse.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Except as expressly stated in Section 6, items are sold "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
[Have a lawyer confirm this is enforceable in your state — some states limit how far you can disclaim liability.]
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aetherforge's total liability for any claim arising from your order or use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid for the item(s) giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [YOUR STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
